1. How long do you play discgolf? How did you get started?
I started out 1998 with a couple of friends. Being really bad at it so I asked them 'Please buy me a disc as a birthday present!' in order to practice and improve the game.

So they bought me a disc and I threw it a lot, lost it unfortunately, got another one and slowly got better.

2. Were there only male friends or also girls?
Actually there was another girl playing and she beat me, and that annoyed me a lot. It became my goal to beat her and so I improved.

3. What does your practice look like?
It depends on my mood. I want to have fun when I practice. So I practice what I need to practice, like several throws in the same direction and I do it in a fun way.

4. Do you practice on the course or out on a field?
Both. The best practice is to go on a course and throw several discs at a time. Like having five drivers and then do five upshots and five putts. It's the best as there has been some investigation that you get better results if you do different practicing. If you just practice putts for one hour, that doesn’t get you as far as having the drive, upshot and the putt. I prefer to do it that way.

5. How often do you practice?
Hard to say, 'cause it depends on the weather. If it's raining I'm not really a big fan of being out practicing. An this year [2004] it has been reaning like every day…

6. Is there a course next to where you live?
We have about 12 courses near where I live.

7. What does a perfect course for you look like?
No water, no OBs. I don't like OB lines because I think that's kind of a negative game. I think you shouldn't get a penalty for being outside a line. I don't like that. I wanna have positive courses. With some short holes and good long drives, whatever. And I like to have open holes as well as wooden holes, that's perfect.

8. Like 'Big Creek' [course on the worlds] and its tight fairways?
The only thing about 'Big Creek' is that it's hard to practice there alone. Because you can loose so many discs. Otherwise I like that course, wished I would have played the course better…

9. How many women are playing discgolf in Sweden?
I don't have any exact figure. But we're about five or six each tournament in Sweden.

10. How could this be changed?
Actually, two years ago, I had sessions every Monday night, free for women to come. That turned out to be a huge success. Ten women, I think that's really good. And they started competing, maybe a bit early. Last year, I wasn't into discgolf at all, that's why I didn't have those session. This year, I wanted to win the worlds for my own, and didn't want to loose time by instructing others. But my biggest goal is to be an instructor. That's why it is so good to win the world, 'cause then I will have that in my resume and it will be easier for me to become an instructor.

11. Do you want to do that in Sweden or USA?
I want to be in Sweden. I don't like to be in America. I hate the food, I hate the way they use Marihuana. I hate that.

12. 16. The PDGA wants to enforce its activities over here in Europe. What do you think/expect from that?
No, as long as it costs so much to travel between our countries. I think what they should start with, is to drug test everybody. I don't think it's cool to use drugs during a tournament or before a tournament. It's in the body, and you can be more relaxed which is really important in this time.
As long as you can't pay your plane ticket from the price money, the world tour discussion is not necessary.

13. What advice would you give to beginners?
The grip. You should find a disc that suits your hand. You can't simply throw a Stratus - although it is a beginner's disc. You couldn't throw it if you wouldn't have the right grip. Just get a good grip. Off course it's good when it's understable.

14. What discs do you have in your bag?
I use the X-Beast, the soft magnet for putting and upshot and the spider in some kind of plastic.

15. So plastic doesn't make a big difference to you?
Not when I do my upshots. I can't throw Champion Edition plastic. I don't even remember all the plastics now. I prefer the X and the Pro-Line plastic. So I'm just waiting for the Beast to be released in Pro-Line. I throw some Firebirds as well, but I'm running out on them.

16. A good round mostly depends on successfull putting, which depends on a good set of nerves. Can you describe your putting routine?
I try to block out exactly everything else. I just try to feel my putt. Usually I succeed, then I'm a very good putter, if I'm nervous and stressed, I'm not. And then I miss my put as I did during my final. I basically try to block everything out.

17. Are there any situations in your game where you get influenced by things around you?
No. What can affect your game is if there's a single loud event, that could affect you all of a sudden. If everyone's just walking around, that wouldn't disctract you.

18. What was/is the best moment in Disc Golf?
Probably counting my score when I shot the 'Pickard' [course on the worlds]. No, off course it was today [winning the worlds].

19. What difference do you see between the european and american game?
Drugs. I don't think the americans throw that well, but they putt very well and vice versa. That might be the difference. Everybody has got houses in the USA, whereas everyone in Europe lives in apartments.
